Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are digitizing their processes all around the world.
Digitization is critical for organizations to reduce operational expenditure and take user experiences to unparalleled levels. And in any digital transformation, automation is the key.
Ultra Config Generator is an enterprise-grade software application for multi-vendor network automation. It is the worlds most powerful Network Configuration Generator.
If you're part of the networking industry, you'll have noticed an abundant use of rudimentary text editors for managing snippets of configuration; these snippets are then deployed to production network elements.
The business impacts of such poor practices are not hard to notice.
Ultra Config Generator solves these issues by adhering to three principles.
For technical information on the product, please continue reading through the documentation - all features are detailed. Also, you may check out a feature summary on our pricing page or send us an enquiry if you have any questions.
Throughout the documentation, Ultra Config Generator will be abbreviated to UCG.
During the purchase of UCG, customers are prompted to choose a subdomain for accessing their application instance. The subdomain will form the prefix on the URL for accessing the application.
For example, suppose the customer chose the value "robot". If this was the case, the customer would access their application at the URL below.
To navigate to your application instance, simply replace the text "robot" with the subdomain chosen for your organization. Instances are hosted on the world wide web and are accessible through any modern browser.
Next, the customer will be directed to the UCG login page. They may then proceed to log into the application using the credentials provided upon purchase.
The UCG dashboard contains four primary workspaces - each of which we'll now introduce.
The Generator Console is the area of the application which allows a user to generate configuration. A user can do so in two steps.
Configuration will then be generated, which can be selected as a snippet or downloaded as a file.

The Developer Console is the home page for template management. From here, users can organize the hierarchy of their templates and view them all in a detailed list.

Templates are designed and modified within the Template Editor. A template is characterized by input variables, business rules, and configuration markup.

The Administrator Console is, as the name suggests, the workspace for all administration related tasks. Within this workspace, admins can manage users of the application, perform data backups, and read application metadata.

As touched upon earlier, UCG includes a CaaS API (Configuration as a Service). The CaaS API is a comprehensive interface - it provides customers with the full application experience through a RESTful API.
